Picture Your Ancestors...
So you’re organizing some things in your attic and you run across this old portrait photo of Grammy from the 1920’s. And you think, my, how beautiful she was. But the photo looks to be in pretty bad shape, full of cracks and creases and spots, with a couple stains. There’s also quite a large portion of surface emulsion missing from the side of Grammy's face and her chin, and you wonder if it’s possible to have the photo repaired, because you’d very much like to see that serene and fair countenance, which everyone says you inherited.
Then you get online and you find this website, Pixels in Time. You browse around, matching up your photo with some of the examples shown, and then you decide, yeah, I’d like to have this restored. But how much is it going to cost me? And how do I give them the photo if I live in Illinois and they’re in Texas? And how are they going to restore this photograph anyway?
These are all very good questions, and it is our hope that these and other concerns and questions can be answered within the pages of this website.
For now though, I’ll just explain a little about what we do. We specialize in the repair and restoration of your treasured photographs and favorite images. We can make corrections for fading and contrast, and we can repair damaged photographs, removing spots and scratches, creases, stains and general deterioration, thereby preventing those special moments, captured in bits and fragments of time, from fading away; giving memories tangible new life so they may be shared with future generations.
Our services are divided into five categories, ranging in price from $19 to $59+. Click the categories listed on the panel to your left to see a description of each category and examples.
So please, take a few moments, look around our site, maybe get some ideas; and pull out those old photographs - informal snapshots and formal portraits alike - so we can start working to brighten and renew those ever fleeting moments in time.
