How to Send Photos

By mail:
- Fill out the Submit Photo for Free Estimate form on the website even
if you are sending photos through the mail. That way we will know to watch for your package.
- Include at least one, preferably two, pieces of cardboard with the photo sandwiched between.
Place a piece of plain paper or tissue paper over the face
of the photo for protection from
scratching on the cardboard. Tape together at the edges and place in a cardboard
photo mailer or box. Write PHOTO ENCLOSED-DO NOT BEND. Include in the package your name,
address, telephone number, e-mail address, and instructions. Or you may fill out our online form,
print it out, and include with packaging.
- If you send anything with glass, wrap it in bubble wrap or pack it in a box filled with plastic peanuts.
This adds maximum protection without adding much to the weight.
- Send with FedEx, the US Postal Service Priority Mail, or a carrier of your choice.
The most important thing to keep in mind when shipping is to use a company that makes use of tracking,
and KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AND TRACKING NUMBER.

We will send you an e-mail to confirm receipt of your photo.
Send on a CD:
- It’s understandable if you do not wish to part with your original photo. No problem at all.
Scan your photo (or have a photo lab scan it for you). Scan at 300 dpi on the color setting
(even if the photo is black and white). Save on a CD in jpeg format. See scanning tips
for information. Be sure to write on or label the CD with your name and telephone number.
- Place CD inside its cover and wrap with paper or bubble wrap, and place inside a CD mailer
or small box. Include in the package your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address,
and instructions. Or you may fill out our online form, print, and include with packaging.
Send electronically:
- Scan your photo as instructed above. See scanning tips for more information.
- Save the digital file on your computer and send it to us via e-mail.
- We will notify you as soon as it is received.
