Please keep in mind that descriptions do overlap and, as with any photography or art form, these descriptions can be subjective; we cannot make a price determination without first seeing the condition of the original image, either in physical form or electronically. Click headings on the sidebar to see before and after examples.</p> <p>The best way to proceed is, after viewing the portfolio examples provided, make a determination about what you might want, and send your ideas to us along with your photo (original or electronic form). There is no charge for your estimate, and we will only proceed with your project after we receive your approval.</p> <p>Please know also that we do not change or alter your original photograph. When we receive the original, we will scan it and store it away for safekeeping, and all work is then performed on the digital image.</p> <p>Each pricing category includes the following: </p> <ul> <li>a 5x7 color or black and white archival print (other sizes are available upon request); <li>a digital version of your photo on CD; <li>a personal guarantee that if you are not delightfully satisfied with the final project, no money will be collected. </ul> <p>So, how much is this going to cost?</p> <p>That depends on the extent of damage and starts around $19 for something that has some spots, and some fading and color shifts.</p> <p>I. <a id="greenLinks" href="retouch.html">Light Retouching</a> includes: Prices range $19 - $29.</p> <ul> <li>removal of "red eye" <li>whiten teeth; <li>facial blemishes and "shine"; <li>remove dust spots; <li>lighten or darken a photo; <li>adjustments for minor color fading and contrast </ul> <p>II. <a id="greenLinks"href="minor.html">Minor Restoration</a> includes: Prices range $29 - $39</p> <ul> <li>minor adjustments for fading; <li>correcting contrast and overall color shifts; <li>removing small scratches, creases, spots, and stains; <li>no damage to facial areas </ul> <p>III. <a id="greenLinks" href="moderate.html">Moderate Restoration</a> includes: Prices range $39 - $59</b></p> <ul> <li>major adjustments for faded colors and contrast correction; <li>repair for larger scratches, creases, and tears; <li>removing stains and repairing damage involving larger areas; <li>limited work in facial areas; <li>subtle background changes </ul> <p>IV. <a id="greenLinks" href="heavy.html">Heavy Restoration/Reconstruction</a> includes: Prices range from $59</p> <ul> <li>reconstructing missing pieces of a photograph, either from the surface emulsion or missing pieces of the photo itself; <li>severe discoloration, color shifts, or fading; <li>reconstruction of facial areas; <li>add or remove content; make portrait of an individual removed from a group; <li>other major changes to background </ul> <p>V. <a id="greenLinks" href="other.html">Other Services:</a> Prices for other services vary, but usually begin around $25. <a id="greenLinks" href="estimate.html">Please submit photo for a free estimate.</a></p> <ul> <li><b>Colorizing:</b> digitally colorize a black and white image and produce a color print. <li><b>Sepia Toning:</b> tint a black and white photo with a brownish, copperish color for authenticity. This is automatically done at no charge with photos which have undergone restoration from the first four categories. <li><b>"Antiquating"</b> a modern photo. <li><b>Composites & Collages:</b> mixing and matching photos. Examples of this are dropping an image out of one photo and onto a new background, combining two people from different photos into one photo with a new background, and creating collages.
